Fallon, Christie dance off in waist-high khakis

No one can accuse New Jersey Governor Chris Christie of shying away from the spotlight.

The embattled Christie appeared Thursday night on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” and did his best to come off as “down to earth.”

Christie and Fallon, decked out in pleated khakis and polo shirts, paired up for a comedy skit called “The Evolution of Dad Dancing,” which included awkward and nerdy dance moves ranging from “The Belt Grabber” to “The Passionate Elliptical.”

The bit concluded with a jig called “The ‘This Bridge Is Closed’,” with a finger wag and all. An obvious dig at Christie’s George Washington Bridge scandal.

Christie pretended to be upset and storm off the stage, but quickly returned to show off some classic Bruce Springsteen air guitar moves.

Later, Fallon asked Christie if he were to run for president in 2016, hypothetically, could he beat Hillary Clinton, if she ran for president, hypothetically.

“Hypothetically?” Christie asks. “You bet.”

“In a dance off,” Fallon replies.

“That’s what I was talking about. What were you talking about?” Christie jokes back.

Bold for a man with no rhythm.
