Family forced out of dream home by stalker’s letters

Chilling letters forced a family of five from their new $1.3 million dream home in New Jersey only days after they purchased the house.

The new owners claim previous owners were aware of a man who calls himself “the Watcher,” who sent creepy letters saying he was put in charge of watching the home, as his grandfather and father did before him, CBS New York reported.

When talking about the new owners’ three children, the Watcher asks, “Have they found out what’s in the walls yet?”

“I am pleased to know your names now, and the name of the young blood you have brought to me,” he wrote in one letter.

The letters, which left the entire neighborhood unnerved, were the subject of a Town Council meeting in Westfield. Mayor Andy Skibitsky said Tuesday night the police department conducted an investigation.

No one has been charged in the case.
