First guy in line for new iPhone 6 immediately dropped it

The iPhone 6 was released to the public today, and some guy already dropped it.

According to 9news.com.au, Australian man Jack Cooksey was the first in line and a little too anxious to get his updated Apple device.

“He spoke to Channel 9’s TODAY Perth outside the store, pulling the box open in his eagerness to show off his new gadget,” the site reports. “However, his excitement was too much and the phone spilled out of the case, landing with an audible smack on the ground.”

“I saw it hit the floor, and I was like ‘oh, no,no,no,no’,” Cooksey said. “As soon as I knew I’d dropped it I thought someone was going to make a meme or something out of this but I didn’t expect it to go as big as it’s gone I mean, it’s in the UK now.”

And now it’s in the U.S.

His phone survived the fall. Be careful, Cooksey.
