First-time homebuyers purchase Ryland home

For first-time homebuyer Daisy Jaictin-Asuque and her husband, Dennis Asuque, buying a home was a decision they had already made; which one to choose had become a challenge. After looking at both resales and new options, the couple knew that a new home was their best choice and purchased a Giovanna model at Ryland Homes' Catania community in Henderson.
"We were actually looking at both short sales and new homes and found there was no question a new home was a better option," said Jaictin-Asuque. "Ryland homes come with a 10-year warranty and their floor plans were better suited for our family. When we found out there was a quick move-in home available in the floor plan we liked, we knew it was the home for us."
The family's new 1,927-square-foot home has four bedrooms, 2½ baths and a two-car garage. Jaictin-Asuque said the kitchen and master bedroom are two of her favorite rooms.
"I love the layout of the kitchen," she said. "And the master bedroom has a really nice bath with walk-in closets that are huge. I really wanted a big closet so I am happy about that."
Jaictin-Asuque said she took advantage of the builder's Clearance Event last month, which offered financing incentives to homebuyers of quick move-in homes.
Ryland Homes' current incentive is the Fall For Ryland event, which offers 25 percent off design center options through Nov. 30.
"During our clearance event, those who purchased a move-in ready home were able to get a 1.75 percent interest rate the first year, 2.75 percent the second year and 3.75 percent for the loan's third through 30th year," said Catania sales counselor Shelly Strait. "It was a great opportunity for anyone paying rent because payments on our available homes started at just $899 per month."
Ryland Homes made the entire process of purchasing a new home easy and painless, said Jaictin-Asuque.
The family's new neighborhood, Catania, is a gated community priced in the mid-$100,000s and includes a pool, spa, clubhouse and park just for residents.
Catania is located in Henderson near St. Rose Parkway and Bermuda Road. It is minutes from neighborhood shopping and dining as well as major shopping centers. St. Rose Hospital's Siena campus is minutes away, as is the M Resort and the Henderson Executive Airport.
"It is also close to highly rated schools including Liberty High School, Del Webb Middle School and Schorr Elementary School," Strait said.
Five two-story plans are available at Catania, ranging from 1,572 to 2,179 square feet with as many as four bedrooms and three baths.
"It is perfect for those who want amenities, because residents can enjoy a private park, pool and community center from the comfort of their own gated neighborhood," Strait said.
Every Ryland Homes residence is Energy Star qualified and includes energy-efficient air-conditioning systems, low-e windows, vinyl window frames and radiant heat barriers inside each roof.
