Harmony welcomes Serenada

Harmony Homes, a locally owned and operated builder, recently celebrated the grand opening of Serenada, its second community at Mountain's Edge, a master-planned community in the southwestern valley.

Serenada offers three floor plans ranging from 2,151 to 2,636 square feet, with prices starting in the low $200,000s. Homes include two-car garages, granite kitchen countertops and paver driveways.

Robert Beville, president of Harmony Homes, described the three plans as "spacious and dramatic," with oversized, gourmet kitchens and an option for as many as six bedrooms in the 2,636-square-foot plan.

"The floor plans we're offering at Serenada include a number of unique design features that make them perfect for today's families," Beville said. "The floor plans are very smart, and they make great use of each plan's square footage with special features to maximize storage, from additional space in the laundry rooms and plentiful closet space to extra shelving in the secondary bathroom."

All of Serenada's floor plans feature two full closets in the master bedroom, a design feature that was included in response to buyers' interest in additional in-home storage. All three plans are two-story, and the 2,636-square-foot plan offers an optional downstairs bedroom.

Beville said the kitchens at Serenada are one of his favorite things about the designs.

"The gourmet kitchens are striking, with oversized islands offering lots of functional space and ample seating," he said.

"Now is a great time to buy because prices are still affordable, and the floor plans at Serenada include luxurious touches that you rarely see in homes at this price point," Beville said. "The local housing market has really picked up over the past year, and I believe savvy buyers will be eager to own in this community."

Beville said the community's location will appeal to homebuyers. Serenada is adjacent to Reedom Elementary School and near the master plan's Exploration and Nathaniel Jones parks.

Exploration Park sits at the base of Exploration Peak, a restored natural mountain park featuring play structures, a splash pad, bicycle trails and walking paths . Nathaniel Jones Park also features playgrounds and a splash pad, as well as lighted basketball courts.

Later this month, Harmony Homes is expected to celebrate the grand opening of Aviano in Henderson. The gated community features homes from 1,436 square feet with paver driveways and a community pool. Prices are expected to start in the low $100,000s.

To visit, take the southern Las Vegas Beltway to Buffalo Drive and head south to Blue Diamond Road. Or, take Interstate 15 to the Blue Diamond exit and travel west to Mountain's Edge.

Harmony Homes has sold more than 1,200 homes since it was formed in Southern Nevada in late 2008. It offers 10 neighborhoods throughout Southern Nevada, with one- and two-story homes priced from the mid-$100,000s and ranging from 1,436 to 4,900 square feet .
