Henderson Hyundai aids charities

September is a special month for the all new Henderson Hyundai Superstore. Charitable contributions are an important part of the Henderson-based dealership's culture.

"For every new Hyundai we sell, we donate a portion of the proceeds to Hyundai Hope on Wheels," said Frank Maione, owner of Henderson Hyundai. "And in September, we have tripled the donation amount to coincide with National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month."

Since 1998, Hyundai and its dealerships have been committed to supporting the fight against childhood cancer through Hyundai Hope on Wheels. Since its inception, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has contributed more than $34 million to children's hospitals across the country to help kids fight cancer.

"It's an incredible opportunity for us to help the community, thanks to our customers ," added Maione.

Locally, Henderson Hyundai is supporting the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open at TPC Summerlin. All proceeds from this premierPGA event goes to Shriners Hospitals.

"This gives us a local event to support and donate to the community," said Dave Sapper, general manager at Henderson Hyundai. "We appreciate the opportunity to be a part of such a great cause. We will provide vehicles to the participating golfers, including PGA Tour professionals and celebrities. In fact, we'll be selling those same cars to our customers after the event. They'll be 'gently used' cars driven by the athletes and celebrities during their visit . Pretty cool," said Sapper.

PGA Tour professionals will join Pro Am participants, Justin Timberlake and prominent sports and entertainment figures as they pair up to compete against each other at TPC Summerlin .

In addition to the golf tournament, University of Nevada, Las Vegas alumni and PGA Tour professional Charley Hoffman will provide a clinic before the tournament. Hoffman and his wife, Stacy, created the Charley HOffman Foundation in order to raise awareness for a variety of children's charities. Last year's Charley Hoffman Foundation Las Vegas Pro Am raised $77,500 to benefit five Las Vegas area charities.

Henderson Hyundai will have tickets to the event at the showroom.

"Just come in to the showroom and ask, we'll be happy to give you a pair free tickets to the event," Sapper said.
