Hundreds of pounds of cocaine found with decorative gourds

Federal agents said they found more than 360 pounds of cocaine in a shipment of Costa Rican pumpkins and squash, the Associated Press reported.

The find at the Port of Philadelphia last Thursday was the eighth-largest cocaine seizure to date, authorities said. The cocaine was packaged in thin cases inside the lining of the boxes.

Authorities said the shipment of gourds was headed for New York City and arrived on a bulk carrier.

No arrests have been made, Philly Mag reported. In a press conference, John Kelleghan, a special agent in charge of homeland security investigations, reportedly said the seizure was "not connected with the Pope's visit."
