Lennar to open Henderson neighborhood this weekend

Lennar will introduce its Mountain Terrace neighborhood to the Henderson area from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. The builder said it will offer a grand opening sales event with special financing.

Lennar new-home consultant April Edwards said homeowners can receive special low-interest rates if they receive financing through the builder's lender, Universal American Mortgage Co.

"This weekend really is an incredible opportunity that anyone looking for a new home won't want to miss," Edwards said. "Our rates through UAMC are below-market rates and will save homebuyers literally thousands of dollars. The new gated neighborhood is near Green Valley Ranch and has a park.

The two-story homes house as many as seven bedrooms, as many as 4½ baths and three-car garages.

Among the floor plans in the new neighborhood is the builder's new Next Gen home, which has been described as the home-within-a-home plan created for a multigenerational or dual-adult living situation.

The private suite portion of the new home design is on the first floor.

Each suite includes a separate entrance, living space, kitchenette with General Electric appliances and stainless steel sink, private bedroom, full bath, standard washer and dryer, one-car garage and an intimate outdoor living space.

Plus, Timberlake 42-inch maple cabinetry and upper-crown molding are included in the price of the home.

Lennar designed this floor plan to be incorporated into the main home in a way that allows it to be a separate space but also offers direct access from the main house.

The 3,242-square-foot plan sports an open first floor and an oversized upstairs loft.

The 3,600-square-foot plan offers a downstairs master suite with the option for a two master suites upstairs.

Meanwhile, the 3,873-square-foot plan offers as many as seven bedrooms.

All homes come with the builder's Everything's Included program that provides features such as granite-slab kitchen countertops and upgraded maple cabinetry throughout the home.

In addition, homeowners will have several high-technology, energy-efficient features that come with the home. Some of these are a home automation system, low volatile organic compound paint, radiant-barrier roof sheathing and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star-rated appliances.

All of these homes are Energy Star certified and include modern green technology that saves money on energy bills, according to Edwards.
