Mom who hung toddler from hook arrested, charged with child abuse
An 18-year-old Virginia woman was arrested last week after a picture showing her toddler son hanging by his shirt from a hook appeared on Facebook.
The photo shows the boy hanging by his shirt from a hook in the wall, with his shirt pulled up around his neck.
The mother, Alexis Breeden, has been charged with felony child abuse, the Huffington Post reports.
The boy’s father, Anthony Welch, reportedly posted the photo to the social media website after an argument with Breeden.
A full investigation was launched after multiple people reported the photo to the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office.
