Music star Avril Lavigne rang in 2008 in Las Vegas, hosting the evening's festivities Monday at Prive nightclub inside Planet Hollywood Resort.

Lavigne was joined by husband Deryck Whibley of rock group Sum 41 for the New Year's Eve countdown and party. Rapper Lil Jon was the featured deejay for the evening and joined forces with rapper Too Short for an impromptu performance. Singer Robin Thicke was in attendance, as well as "Dancing With The Stars" professionals Kym Johnson, Cheryl Burke and Edyta Sliwinska.
