Three window-washers were pulled to safety Friday after the platform they were working on at a New Orleans high-rise gave way, leaving them dangling from the building’s 49th floor on safety harnesses for about 20 minutes.

Summerlin Half Marathon

The 2014 Summerlin Half Marathon, in partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, drew a record crowd of more than 500 runners who were primarily from Las Vegas, and also included participants from as far away as Canada, Turkey, Nova Scotia, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Apartment complex planned

The Howard Hughes Corp. recently announced plans for the first multifamily residential development in the emerging 400-acre Downtown Summerlin. Construction is expected to begin this fall on the joint venture of Hughes and the Calida Group. The 124-unit, gated luxury apartment complex has a projected spring 2015 opening.

Homeowner says neighbor throws trash

A: I would like to know what legal action can be taken against neighbors that dump their trash into my yard. First, I must point out the fact that these neighbors have an 11-year-old autistic son who they really don’t supervise. In the past two or three years, they’ve allowed their son to toss trash into my backyard as well as the yard of the neighbors on the other side.
