Pardee to run ‘guest designer’ Pinterest contest

Pardee Homes is inviting its social media followers and others to be “guest designers” to help inspire the décor at Horizon Terrace, a new Pardee Homes’ neighborhood scheduled to open in early 2014 in Henderson.

“Buyer feedback has always been an important tool for Pardee Homes and is a factor when planning new designs and neighborhood amenities,” said Kathy Hilty, marketing director of Pardee Homes’ Las Vegas division. “With our 60th anniversary underway, we wanted to invite the public to be a part of our future by creating a Pinterest board for a ‘dream room’ at Horizon Terrace.”

The winning “guest designer” will have his or her creative vision brought to life by Pardee Homes’ design team. The winner also will have his or her Pinterest board showcased at opening events for Horizon Terrace and will receive a $500 gift card.

The contest ends at midnight PDT Aug. 11. Interested participants must first follow Pardee Homes on the social media site Pinterest then create a Pinterest board titled “Horizon Terrace Dream Room.”

Pardee has built homes for more than 40,000 families in Southern Nevada since 1952.

Current Pardee Homes’ neighborhoods in the Las Vegas Valley include four distinct LivingSmart Homes neighborhoods: Providence in northwest Las Vegas, Sandstone at Camino Eldorado and Ann Road, and Eldorado Ridge and Eldorado Heights in the Eldorado master-planned community in North Las Vegas.

Other Pardee homes that include LivingSmart features are Durango Ranch near the intersection of Pebble and Cimarron roads in southwest Las Vegas, and the new Durango Trail neighborhood that will open adjacent to Durango Ranch.

Sales offices are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday.
