Republican vice presidential candidate and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence will hold two town hall meetings Monday in Northern Nevada.

Republican presidential candidates carried Nevada for 20 years from 1968 to 1988 before Democrat Bill Clinton won in 1992 and 1996.
The state went red the two presidential elections after that, backing George W. Bush both times, but Barack Obama carried Nevada in 2008 and 2012.
Presidential candidate Donald Trump is deploying his running mate to Arizona on Tuesday to shore up support within the Republican coalition, including donors with whom Pence has deep relationships.
Pence plans to campaign in Phoenix and Tucson.
