Poll: Reid gains against Sandoval

A new poll by Rasmussen shows Democrat Rory Reid gaining on Republican Brian Sandoval in the race for governor of Nevada.

The Rasmussen poll taken Sept. 13 -- before former President Bill Clinton came to Las Vegas to rally Reid supporters -- shows 52 percent of likely voters chose Sandoval and 39 percent Reid, a difference of 13 percentage points.

That's closer the the previous Rasmussen poll that showed Sandoval with 58 percent of support and Reid 33 percent.

Said the new Rasmussen Report: "Nevada's gubernatorial race is a little closer this week, but Republican Brian Sandoval still holds a double-digit lead over Democrat Rory Reid."

The pollster still has the race rated as "solid Republican" on its gubernatorial scorecard.
