Professional model falls for Pardee model

It was love at first sight for professional model Octavia Burris when she walked into the Plan Two model at Pardee Homes' gated Montclaire neighborhood in Henderson and found her first home.

"The second I saw this house, it was the only house I wanted. I told my Realtor I didn't need to look at any others," said Burris, who has traveled from coast to coast and across the Atlantic for modeling assignments since signing with an international agency a year ago.

"It's a great location -- close to the airport and all the stores -- everything is here," Burris said. "However, it is actually a very peaceful neighborhood."

All of Pardee's newly designed homes are part of the builder's LivingSmart brand that provides standard and optional measures to boost energy efficiency, save water, improve indoor-air quality and encourage material conservation and use of recycled or sustainable resources.

"I love Pardee," Burris said. "Even the buying experience was fun. They handled everything, and the only thing I had to do was pick out what I liked and sign the papers."

Burris chose Montclaire's Plan Two, which can be built with as many as six bedrooms and three baths. It measures 2,789 square feet in a two-story design and has a three-car tandem garage.

"My house is going to be filled with family and friends, so the Plan Two was perfect for company," she said.

She also liked the dramatic staircase in the entryway and the great room layout adjoining the kitchen.

Priced from $273,950 to $364,450, the Montclaire collection of homes range from a single-story plan with three bedrooms to six two-story homes with as many as six bedrooms.

Plan One measures 2,368 square feet in a single-story design with a three-car garage, three bedrooms and a den or optional fourth bedroom. The home also can be built with an optional master-bedroom retreat.

Plan Three measures as large as 3,380 square feet with four bedrooms, 3½ baths and a two-car garage in a two-story design. The home can be built with an optional fourth bedroom suite with bath and an optional media room/optional fifth bedroom and loft or bathroom in lieu of the standard bonus room.

Plan Four measures 3,643 square feet with as many as five bedrooms and 2½ baths. The two-story home has a three-car garage, laundry/hobby room or optional four-car tandem garage, bonus room and den or optional fifth bedroom.

Plan Five is available in two versions: Five and FiveX. Plan Five measures 3,449 square feet with four bedrooms and three baths, three-car garage, library and loft while the Plan FiveX measures 3,959 square feet with six bedrooms and as many as four bathrooms, loft and library plus three-car garage.

The newly added Plan Six measures 3,959 square feet with six bedrooms, four baths, great room, dining room, loft, library and three-car garage.

To reach Montclaire, take Eastern Avenue south of St. Rose Parkway and turn right on Horizon Ridge Parkway. Follow Horizon Ridge west, then turn left on Jeffreys Street.
