Ryland Homes cuts energy costs

With the hot summer months upon us, finding an energy-efficient home is more important than ever. Ryland Homes is offering new homes certified with the Energy Star Plus program and showcasing these homes during its Summer Blockbuster Celebration of Savings.

The summer celebration boasts the lowest home prices and monthly payments of the year in all 12 Ryland Homes Southern Nevada communities. Buyers will benefit from a home that exceeds the energy efficiency of a standard home by 30 percent, and their closing costs will be covered. Special financing packages are also available.

"Among the standout advantages of our homes are the energy-saving features. All of our homes rated a 70 or better by the Home Energy Rating System. New Ryland homes feature low-e windows that keep out 77 percent of ultraviolet rays; dual-zone heating and air conditioning with increased control over air flow, providing more manageable monthly energy bills and compact florescent lighting with 13-watt light bulbs that provide the illumination of 60-watt bulbs.

Overall, Energy Star Plus homes significantly reduce dust and pollen and offer a more comfortable environment.
