Ryland to hold grand opening today

Ryland Homes will hold a free grand opening event from noon to 4 p.m. today at Monticello in Providence, a northwest Las Vegas master-planned community. The event will have food, refreshments and tours of model homes. The Bad Ass Coffee truck will provide gourmet coffee, smoothies and sweet snacks from 2 to 4 p.m.

“It is a perfect day to visit this gorgeous community and check out the views from our signature rooftop decks, which are shown at both Monticello model homes,” sales agent Shelly Strait said. “These are one of the most popular features that Ryland Homes offers, and when you see them for yourself you will know why.”

The decks are large enough for outdoor living rooms, fireplaces or outdoor kitchens.

Four floor plans are available ranging from 1,939 to 2,353 square feet. The two-story homes include as many as five bedrooms and as many as five baths with two-car garages. All are available with the rooftop decks. Prices start at $189,990.

Ryland is offering special financial incentives for its Monticello homes this weekend, including a percentage of the home’s sale price toward closing costs and $5,000 in design center upgrades.

The 2,353-square-foot Monroe includes a first-floor den, formal dining, living and laundry rooms, walk-in pantry and gourmet kitchen island.

The second floor includes three bedrooms with walk-in closets and a loft with an optional morning bar. The home’s den and loft are also available as bedrooms.

The Taylor plan includes two bedrooms, family room, laundry room and storage area on the first floor with the home’s master bedroom, kitchen, great room and dining room on the second floor.

Monticello residents will have their own community pool and tot lot. In addition, Knickerbocker Park is nearby. The 15-acre park has age-specific playgrounds, a dog park with areas for small and large dogs, splash pad, youth baseball field, a multiuse events field, a jogging path with exercise stations and picnic areas.

Providence has been named one of the top 10 master-planned communities in the country. The Americana-themed community spans 1,200 acres with sweeping mountain and city views and close proximity to shopping, dining and services.

The sales office is at 6727 Sumatra St. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 north and exit on the Las Vegas Beltway, heading west. Take the Beltway to Hualapai Way and exit Hualapai heading north. Head west on Dorrell Lane and south on North Shaumber Road to La Vereda Avenue. Turn right on La Vereda and left on Sumatra Street to the community.
