  • The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District plans to celebrate Teen Tech Week through March 14. Teen Tech Week is a national initiative designed to celebrate technology and help teens learn how to use technology ethically and safely.   • The Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, 200 S. Third St., plans to host the Las Vegas Valley Firefighters’ annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Firefighter Fun Challenge March 17. A parade of uniformed firefighters and honor guards is planned for noon starting at the Main Street Stage outside the Golden Gate. The group will be joined by bagpipers and step dancers as it makes its way down the Fremont Street Experience to the events center for the challenge, set from 1 to 5 p.m. Attendees can enjoy beer, cocktails and food for purchase as they cheer on teams of firefighters competing in a tricycle race, wheel barrel race, equipment run, tug of war, hose bowling and garden hose efficiency contest. Guests can join DeBellevue in constructing chenille stem sculptures by weaving stems into a pattern overlay that will be added to a sculptural form.
