Towbin test drive sells Fiat safety features to a family

When Robert Sosnowski came in to test drive the new 2014 Fiat 500, he had no idea he would receive a crash course in the car’s safety features. He ended up with a showcase in safety, plus four new Fiats, when he came in for a test drive at Towbin Fiat of Las Vegas.

“I used to drive a Fiat back in 1978 when I was still living in Europe,” Sosnowski said. “I was interested in finding a car that would help save gas, a comfortable ride and was safe to drive.”

Sosnowski came in with his son and had barely begun his test drive when he was rear-ended by another car. The 2014 Fiat 500 kept all three passengers unharmed, and exhibited several of the safety features of the vehicle.

Company officials said the 2014 Fiat 500 offers a number of safety features to protect the driver. The car has stability control, which senses when the vehicles handling limits have been exceeded and slows the car to a safe speed, plus anti-whiplash head restraints, which react to rear collisions and cradle the occupant’s head to minimize whiplash injuries. Also, the Fiat comes with front, side, overhead and knee airbags to further protect against injury in case of an accident.

Sosnowski was so impressed by the safety features that he immediately purchased a 2014 Fiat 500 for his wife. A day later, he was back with his sister-in-law, and both family members purchased a Fiat 500L.

The Sosnowskis said they enjoyed their new Fiats so much that four days later they brought a close family friend in who also purchased a Fiat 500.

The newest dealership in the Towbin Automotive Group, Towbin Fiat of Las Vegas, is at 2550 S. Jones Blvd and has been named No. 1 in the nation in sales.
