William Lyon’s Tularosa is ready for the holidays

Home shoppers wanting to spend the holidays in a brand-new, single-story home need to look no further than Tularosa where William Lyon Homes is placing the finishing touches on single-story residences for year-end move-ins, according to sales agent Julia Giordani.

The builder offers an all-single-story neighborhood in Mountain's Edge, a southwestern master-planned community.

"Tularosa offers a great combination of ranch-style homes for buyers who prefer single-story living without stairs and the conveniences of living near the amenities of the Mountain's Edge community. Buyers of every age seem to prefer single-story plans," Giordani said. "A few will be available for buyers seeking a new home for the holidays."

William Lyon is offering $12,000 Any Way You Want It buyer incentive for end-of-the-year closings. Additionally, buyers can receive a river rock-inspired or cobble-style backyard landscaping package with their home purchase.

"Our Tularosa home buyers love the fact that William Lyon Homes is including backyard landscaping with their home because it's one less thing that they have to worry about after they move in," Giordani said. "With their backyards already landscaped, all that buyers have to do is to set up their patio furniture and enjoy the outdoors."

Four designer-appointed model homes priced from the $160,000s are featured.

"Tularosa offers absolutely wonderfully designed single-story homes that will appeal to today's home buyers looking for a brand-new home for a great price," Giordani said. "Each of our four floor plans is highlighted by a great open design and the kitchens are gorgeous with granite countertops, an island and beech wood cabinetry."

Both the 1,747-square-foot Plan One and the 1,514-square-foot Plan Four offer a great-room design as well as three bedrooms, two baths and two-car garage.

Offering 1,976 square feet is Plan Two, a four-bedroom, two-bath home that features an island kitchen overlooking a great room and an optional den in lieu of a bedroom.

The 2,102-square-foot Plan Three includes three bedrooms plus a den or optional fourth bedroom, two baths, as well as separate family, living and formal dining rooms.

A few home sites are located along a community trail system.

"In addition to living in a wonderful single-story home, residents will enjoy living near all of the community's amenities, parks, trails and beautiful desert landscaping," Giordani said.

The 3,500-acre master-planned community has set aside more than 500 acres for open space, parks and a trail system.

"Among the impressive amenities of Mountain's Edge is the Mountain's Edge Exploration Park. This is a really unique park that has been created in a Southwest style and is designed around an Old West-theme playground. Plus it has a water splash-and-spray area for children, picnic areas and wonderful trails," she said.

Residents also enjoy the conveniences of the nearby southern Las Vegas Beltway, schools and planned retail space.

To visit, take the beltway to Rainbow Boulevard and head south. Turn right on Blue Diamond Road and then left on Buffalo Drive. Proceed south to Erie Avenue, turn left and follow signs to the neighborhood. The models are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at noon.
