Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram raises cash for school

A long-standing supporter of children and community, Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram held a Drive for the Kids with Saint Anne Catholic School during its annual Fun Fair event in October.

With the Town &Country 300 and 200 models available, 77 test drives were taken.

In total, Chapman raised $770 to be donated on behalf of Chrysler to Saint Anne Catholic School. The proceeds will go toward the purchase of a new gym floor.

“It’s fantastic that Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram would donate these funds to us to promote education,” principal Tom Ruggles said. “It’s all about the kids.”

Chrysler has long been supporting children and communities. In 1984, Chrysler introduced the minivan and changed the way American families travel. In the years since, Chrysler has set the standard in safety, design, and kid-friendly features. At the same time, Chrysler placed educational issues on the company agenda and supported a number of national initiatives including award-winning reading, mentoring, and child safety programs.

Chrysler recognized the need for additional school funding, and in 1993, introduced Drive for the Kids. The program makes it possible for Chrysler dealers to work with parents and educators for the benefit of children.

“Chapman is family-owned and family-friendly,” General Manager Don Hamrick said, “and we enjoy doing our share to help educate the children in our community.”
