It’s a new ride

Gaudin Porsche of Las Vegas will host the unveiling of the newest Porsche vehicle May 22, at Angel Park Golf Course. Invited guests will be among the first to see the new 2015 Porsche Macan.

“The Macan is the perfect blend of Porsche 911 sports car heritage and compact SUV. Those car lovers anxious to own a Porsche will be thrilled to see this new model as their opportunity to experience the next generation of Porsche innovation,” Gaudin Porsche General Manager Jim Mooradian said. “Inspired by car owners enjoying life to the extreme and desiring a vehicle to meet their expectations, the Macan will off-road with the best approach angle and clearance of any vehicle in its class. The towing capacity of 5,200 pounds allows the avid sports enthusiast plenty of power and room for their favorite activities. And performance lovers will enjoy the Macan on and off the track with acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in five seconds.”

The Macan S is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine with 340 horespower and the 3.6-liter twin-turbo V-6 in the Macan Turbo produces 400 horsepower and makes the car sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.

The Porsche Macan has two model variants, the Macan S and the Macan Turbo; a third deluxe version will come this fall.

Private test drive demonstrations will start May 23.
