INTEL: Station rolls out app, Nevada Beverage has new beer on tap

Station Casinos launched a mobile application that lets smartphone users access information about the company’s 18 Southern Nevada casinos.

Boarding Pass loyalty program members can gain information about their accounts and customers can make reservations or enjoy special offers. The app is now available for download for Android and iPhone users by visiting the Google Play or iTunes stores respectively using the keyword “sclv.”

The easy-to-use tile design layout features 10 categories of information including: promotions, gaming, dining, hotel, spa, entertainment, movies, meetings and property maps.

Capabilities include making reservations for restaurants, hotel stays, spa treatments and cabana rentals, and purchasing gift cards, looking up movie times and buying tickets.

Meeting and convention groups seeking conference and event space can even request a proposal from their hand-held mobile devices. The app also includes information about local Las Vegas activities such as shows and tours and offers a convenient means to buy tickets for those venues. When the application opens, it automatically geolocates the user to the Station Casinos’ destination closest in proximity, but also highlights the distance the user is away from other Station Casinos’ properties.

Lion Fight, the Las Vegas-based Muay Thai promotion company, is slowly becoming a combat sport force.

Combat sports media giant Sherdog will initiate coverage of Lion Fight events on May 23 with Lion Fight 15 at Foxwoods Casino Resort in Mashantucket, Conn.

Sherdog will provide pre- and post-fight reports, offer Lion Fight news, profile the organization’s fighters and broadcast videos showing the sport’s long history and tradition in Thailand.

The Las Vegas 51s home season is off and running, opened with its popular Thursday night $1 Beer Night promotion.

Don Logan, the 51s president and chief operating officer who has spent three decades with the Las Vegas baseball franchise, said there are some new food and beverage items on the menu.

Logan said Papa John’s is doing pizza and wings, and the stadium is selling Igloo Slush alcoholic drinks.

In the promotion department, the 51s will be giving away a new item — a folding chair set for May 10.
