Cosmopolitan names new chief information officer

Four months after Marshall Andrew resigned, the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Wednesday named a new chief information officer.

Kris Singleton started work this week. She returns to Las Vegas after spending the past 3½ years in San Francisco as CIO with Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants.

Singleton was I.T. vice president business solutions at MGM Mirage from 2006 to 2008, the Cosmopolitan said in a statement.

Marshall resigned on Feb 21. At the time, the company did not give reason for his departure other than in the "course of opening a new resort there is turnover." The $3.9 billion resort, which is between Bellagio and CityCenter on the Strip, opened in December.
