Ultimate Gaming online poker site passes regulator’s test

Ultimate Gaming, which is currently operating Nevada’s only legal Internet poker website, said Thursday it has completed its state-mandated field trial.

The company, majority owned by Station Casinos, launched Ultimate Poker on April 30 and then began a field trial to prove the website meets state regulations covering interactive wagering.

The company said the Gaming Control Board approved its continued offering of real money online poker through UltimatePoker.com.

“We are thrilled that our product is the first to not only meet these standards, but exceed them,” Ultimate Gaming CEO Tobin Prior said in a statement.

Online poker in Nevada is restricted to players wagering on computers or mobile devices located within the state’s boundaries.
