COMING IN THIS WEEK'S BUSINESS PRESS

LEGAL WARS: When the law firm of Lewis and Roca lost all eight of its employment law attorneys at its Phoenix office, it did what many other out-of-state firms are doing these days: hired a lawyer from an older Las Vegas practice. Competition for local lawyers is heating up as mobility for young attorneys reaches historic highs, higher starting salaries putting upward pressure on billing rates and competition from regional law firms increases in growing urban cities like Las Vegas.

LICENSE FREE: An end-of-the-month deadline is nearing for massage therapists to update their licenses to comply with a new regulation taking effect next month that will make it cheaper and easier for therapists to operate anywhere in the county.

CHAOTIC ADS: It's hard to find a good bang for the advertising buck these days. But for a few hundred dollars, "stunt" advertising can still create the sort of controlled chaos that resonates with the curious small business customer-to-be.

THIS WEEK'S LIST: The top major construction projects in Southern Nevada.
