Economic development official to speak at White House conference

Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance President and CEO Jonas Peterson will be speaking Thursday at the White House during the 5th annual White House Forum on Economic Development, hosted by the International Economic Development Council and SelectUSA.

Peterson will join economic development leaders from around the nation to participate in the one-day event with senior White House and Administration officials. Remarks will be provided by Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to President Barack Obama, Vinai Thummalapally, executive director of SelectUSA and Bruce Andrews, deputy secretary of Department of Commerce.

The White House Forum will include discussion on key economic development issues such as infrastructure development, manufacturing job creation strategies and international trade.
