Former control board chairman joins Responsible Gaming board

Former Nevada Gaming Control Board Chairman Mark Lipparelli has joined the board of the National Center for Responsible Gaming, which focuses on education and outreach program creation and implementation.

Lipparelli completed a four-year term as the state’s top gaming regulator. He currently holds a leadership position at Gioco Ventures LLC, a development stage technology company that he founded and previously at which he served as chief executive officer.

“Mark’s expertise will propel the NCRG forward to help educate regulators about gambling disorders and help us develop resources to strategically address responsible gaming programs for online gamblers,” board chairman Alan Feldman said in a statement. Feldman is executive vice president of global government and industry affairs of MGM Resorts International.

The NCRG board of directors includes representatives from the gaming industry and the public health and regulatory communities.
