Former Nevada Health Link board chair joins public relations firm
The former board chair of Nevada Health Link has joined a local public relations and public affairs firm.
Barbara Smith Campbell, who resigned her position with the state insurance exchange in February, said Thursday that her Reno consulting firm, Consensus LLC, had merged with The Ferraro Group, which has offices in Las Vegas, Reno, Carson City and Phoenix.
Campbell will represent clients of The Ferraro Group when they appear before regulatory agencies including the Nevada Division of Insurance, the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada, the state Department of Taxation and the Nevada Tax Commission.

Her reputation precedes her, and I don’t think anyone would argue with the sentiment that she is one of the foremost tax policy authorities in Nevada,” said Greg Ferraro, president and founder of The Ferraro Group. “We could not be more proud to have such a distinguished professional join our team.”
When she stepped down from the exchange board, Campbell said she needed time to oversee her company’s merger.
Gov. Brian Sandoval appointed Campbell to the board in 2011.
Campbell also has past experience as board chair of the Nevada Tax Commission; director of finance for Mandalay Development; and vice president of finance for MGM Grand Resorts Development.
