Imagine Dragons sets record with ‘Radioactive’

Vegas rockers Imagine Dragons keep breathing fire on the charts, as the band has just set a record with their smash single “Radioactive.”

The ubiquitous hit has now enjoyed the longest run ever on the Billboard Hot 100 in this, its 77th week on the chart, besting Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours,” the previous record holder.

“Radioactive” has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide and is the biggest of three singles from Imagine Dragons’ full-length debut, “Night Visions,” to make it into the top 15 of the Hot 100.

Even though we’re but two months into 2014, it’s already shaping up to be another memorable year for the band.

Last month, they won a Grammy, performed during the awards show and then played “Saturday Night Live” the following week.

Shortly thereafter, “Night Visions” crossed the 2 million mark in U.S. sales.
