Three recommended new CDs out this week:
Black Wine, “Yell Boss”: Fellow New Jerseyans The Gaslight Anthem may be getting all the love this week with the release of their new record, but the fourth disc from this plucky, coed punk trio just might be the better album of the two.
Lucero, “Live in Atlanta”: No, it’s not the same as being there, but this epic 32-song set from one of the best live bands around will ensure that you don’t miss these Southern rock badasses the next time they hit down.
Botanist, “IV: Flora”: It’s about time someone introduced the hammered dulcimer to ambient black metal, right? Leave it to the dude behind Botanist, whose gorgeous, enveloping new record will agitate scene purists but captivate more adventurous types.
