Love and poker: To have and to Hold 'Em

Scott Born sat down Wednesday at Table 429 in the Amazon Room at the Rio Convention Center and saw a familiar face: His wife, Laura Green.

The newlyweds from Woodstock, Ga., are in Las Vegas for their honeymoon, and each entered the $10,000 buy-in No-limit Texas Hold 'em World Championship. Remarkably, they were seated at the same table for Day 2C of the World Series of Poker Main Event and were involved in a big pot after Wednesday's dinner break.

Green, holding pocket 7s, called one player's all-in bet before Born called as well. Green went to the flop with the best hand, but Born hit a straight on the river to stay alive.

Green fell to 42,000 chips after the hand and probably won't let Born forget about the beat for the rest of their marriage.
