PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to View’s pets section. Because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

Mel and Lydia Cruz of Henderson shared this photo of their 5-year-old beagle, Bobby, who is “the calmest and most assertive dog. Everybody loves him.”

“These two cats were found loose a few years ago and promptly adopted by my neighbo, Maxie Mullick,” wrote Martin Dean Dupalo of Las Vegas. “One day, as the sun was setting, I found them in a staring contest. I whistled — they turned their heads in unison for a moment, looked at me and resumed their staring contest and no, nothing more — not even a howl or a fight.”

Richard G. Gilbreath of Las Vegas shared this photo of Panda, who loves to run eight hours a day. “He has so much energy and is loved by all the neighbors.”

Kenneth Vidad of Las Vegas shared this photo of his dogs, Ruby, a Shih Tzu mix, and Chiquito, a Chihuahua. “They don’t usually sleep on one bed together but sometimes they do, and that’s why I took the opportunity to capture it.”

Hans and Melissa Lackinger shared his photo of Safiah, an Australian blue heeler. “She loves to run in the park and round up all the other dogs.”
