PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to the View’s pets section. Because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

Daniel Rosenbaum of Las Vegas shared this photo of his cats Molly Belle Peeps, left, and her sister Bear. “These two loveable cats are inseparable! They love to play and take naps together and watch the birds out in the garden.”

“Tinkerbell is the only dog that can smile," wrote Steve Hochman. “My best friend is an AKA registered female Maltese, 8 years young that had severe biting problems and who I rescued from the Nevada SPCA. Four boxes of bandages and a lot of TLC are well worth the effort.”

James Campbell of Henderson shared this photo of his Chihuahua mix, Minnie. “I was very lucky this past year when, at 2 years old, I was rescued from the pound by a local foster group and then adopted by my forever family. My mom and dad loved that I was an adult dog and already potty trained, and I blended in well with Cody and Ginny, my brother and sister canines, who were also rescues.”

Teri Renee Brunnmeier of Las Vegas, a student photographer at the College of Southern Nevada, shared this photo of her dog Ora Jill. “Ora Jill  was up for silent auction at Golden Rainbow’s AIDS benefit in 2008. We won her with our silent auction/donation. Ora (Spanish for gold) is quite the showgirl. She jumps right on the bench whenever I practice my photography.”
