2 men arrested in connection with April homicide

Police arrested two men Friday in connection with an April homicide.

Brandon Gisendaner, 25, and Kenneth McGee, 26, were arrested Thursday in connection with an April 24 homicide that occurred in the 2800 block of Wheelwright Drive, the Metropolitan Police Department said. The two were taken into custody near Mountain Vista Street and Vegas Valley Drive, Metro said.

The homicide, the 58th in Metro’s jurisdiction this year, began with an altercation involving a firearm between four men in a vehicle and three subjects on foot, police said.

When the argument escalated, one suspect shot a man, later identified as Benjamin Andre Soley, multiple times, Metro said. Police responded about 3:45 a.m.to reports of the shooting near the 4500 block of Carriage Park Drive, and found Soley lying beside a vehicle in the 2800 block of Mountain Vista Street.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, Metro said.

Metro spokesman Officer Brent Garcia confirmed that Metro is still looking for the third suspect implicated in the initial investigation, but police could not release details about that person.

Gisendaner and McGee were booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of open murder with a deadly weapon, robbery with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.
