Casinos stay busy with Father's Day promotions

Father's Day is a very busy day for casinos, and many are offering special promotions.

Video poker players hitting four kings (max coin; no wild cards) at the Eldorado or Joker's Wild on Sunday will receive a 100-coin bonus. Those hitting four kings at the Fiesta Rancho on Sunday will receive double pay. At all these promotions, please check the rules before playing, especially to see if any machines are excluded.

At Jerry's Nugget, every $50-plus jackpot Sunday will receive a flashlight with case, and all players earning 200 points ($800 coin-in; no point redemption required) from 4 a.m.-midnight will receive a $10 Lowes or Circuit City gift card; limit one gift card per player.

Suncoast and Gold Coast bingo players will receive a logo baseball cap at all Sunday sessions with a minimum buy-in.

El Cortez players earning 1,000 Jackie's Club points ($1,000-$3,000 coin-in; no gift redemption required) this Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday are eligible to receive a glass coaster set. A maximum of five sets may be earned over the three day promotion.

All new Silverton Discovery Card members receive a $20 matchplay coupon that can be used at the tables with a $20 bet or presented at the cashier with $20 to receive $40 in slot play.

Both the Eldorado and Joker's Wild are running a "Sizzling Spin to Win Cash Giveaway." Players can earn tickets all week long for three nightly drawings: 6:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. At each drawing, 10 players (who must be present) will have an opportunity to win up to $1,500 cash.

Though June 30, any player hitting a $1,000-plus slot or video poker jackpot at the Vegas Club will receive 100 coins of whatever denomination he is playing.
