Club Coast changes redemption value of cashback points

There have been some major changes at Club Coast -- the players club at the Gold Coast, Orleans and Suncoast. Effective last Monday, players now earn one point for every dollar coin-in (slots and video poker) -- and all points can be redeemed for cashback at a rate of 1,000 points equals $1. Because the new formula requires three times more points to get the same cashback, all unredeemed point balances have been increased by three times, plus all three casinos are currently running triple points through Jan. 14.

Club Palms points earned between Oct. 22 and Dec. 23 may be redeemed for gift cards during the Palms "Presents for Points" promotion. Gift cards include 7-Eleven and Walgreens ($5 and $10 cards only) or Visa ($25, $50 and $100 cards only) and are redeemed at a rate of 440 base points ($440 coin-in) equals $1 in gift cards. Points must be redeemed by 10 p.m. Dec. 24 to be eligible for the gift cards.

Throughout November, El Cortez players winning a jackpot of more than $200 on slots or more than $300 on video poker receive a voucher for a 1-pound box of See's Candy. Vouchers also can be redeemed for $10 gas, grocery or gift cards. Also this month, the El Cortez is awarding one entry to a special $25,000 drawing for every 5,000 points ($5,000-$15,000 coin-in) earned on your card. The drawing will take place at 3 p.m. Dec. 13 and players must be present to win.

Cannery players earning 350 American Can points ($350 coin-in -- no point redemption required) on Mondays or Wednesdays (through Nov. 14) can pick up a Handy Bag Sealer. Those earning 600 points receive a kid-size backpack and anyone earning 900 points can receive both.
