'Dads' is racist, sexist, and not very funny

Widely hailed as wildly unfunny, Fox’s “Dads” premiered Tuesday to 5.6 million viewers.

Co-workers and childhood friends (Green, Ribisi) have their lives turned upside down when their dads (Riegert, Mull) move in with them in this comedy from “Family Guy” writers Seth MacFarlane, Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild.

You know how “Family Guy” is racist, sexist and homophobic, but you end up laughing at it anyway, even though a little piece of you dies every time you do? This is like that. Without the laughing.

What: “Dads”

When: 8 p.m. Sept. 17, KVVU-TV, Channel 5

Who’s in it: Seth Green, Giovanni Ribisi, Martin Mull, Peter Riegert
