The Sinatra name is always magic in Las Vegas, but Frank Sinatra Jr. spent years building up his own credibility here.
Since the 1980s, those coming to see the famous father's less-famous son know they will see a full big band, 20 pieces strong on Saturday at The Cannery.
And at 68, Sinatra Jr. has his own gravity now. "I am not doing an impersonation," he noted a few years ago, aware of the thin line that separates imitation from the original orchestrations of his father's hits.
Audiences "are not looking for my interpretation," he noted. "They may be looking for my memories, but they're not looking for my interpretation."
