Georgia Satellites at Rocks Lounge

The Georgia Satellites were a fine antidote to synth-driven MTV pop of the '80s, and their signature hit, "Keep Your Hands to Yourself," sounds much less dated today than Boy George.

The band has soldiered on after basically splitting in two. This faction which (obviously) kept the name is helmed by two Ricks, bassist Price and guitarist Richards. The original frontman, Dan Baird, carries on with his band Homemade Sin.

They play at 9 p.m. Saturday in Rocks Lounge at the Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd. Tickets are $23; call 547-5300.
