Palms giving away cash and cars

The Palms is running two identical cash and car drawings this month called October Wheels - one for video poker on Oct. 27 and the other for slots on Oct. 30. Slot and video poker players earn tickets while playing the machines (please note that all slot machines are included, but several video poker machines have been excluded). Every night through Oct. 26, five video poker players will receive $50 free play plus an Oct. 27 drawing ticket, and another 20 winners will just receive drawing tickets. At a separate nightly drawing (through Oct. 29), five slot players will receive $50 and an Oct. 30 drawing ticket while another 20 winners will receive drawing tickets only. Winners need not be present at the drawings but must collect free play and drawing tickets within 24 hours. First place at both drawings is a 2009 Camry Hybrid and the next nine places share $6,500. On Oct. 30, an identical drawing will be held for the slot ticket winners. At these final drawings, winners must be present.

Cannery players earning 599 points ($199 coin-in on slots, $300 coin-in on video poker; no point redemption required) on Tuesday will receive an "Envelope of Treasure" containing up to $1,000 cash. On Wednesday, customers earning 999 points will receive a trinket box along with a cash prize of up to $1,000 and those earning 2,499 points on Thursday will receive a seafood buffet and $20 in free slot play. There is a limit of one gift per customer per day.

On Sunday, all players at Fiesta Rancho and Fiesta Henderson earning 399 points ($399-$1,596 coin-in; no point redemption required) will receive a plush blanket. All month long, both casinos are giving away a limited edition custom jacket (choose your color and size, name embroidered) to players hitting a video poker royal flush (maximum coin played, no wild cards).

At 9 p.m. Saturday, the South Point is offering "October Binghoul," a special bingo session featuring $14,000 in guaranteed cash prizes.

The Stratosphere is offering all new Ultimate Reward Club members up to $120 in free play plus comps based on their first day of action. New members earning 100 points ($100 coin-in on slots, $200-$800 coin-in on video poker; no point redemption required) receive a T-shirt. When they earn another 400 points, they get $20 in free slot play. All new members earning 1,200 points get two free show tickets, and those earning a total of 2,000 points get $100 in free slot play (plus all the other rewards). Points must be earned from the time the new member signed up to 11:59 p.m. the following day.
