Silverton giving away car leases; Suncoast bingo-ing in new year


Beginning tonight, the Silverton is giving away 54 car leases in 37 days. Every night through Jan. 31, the casino will draw nine names. Four will win $100 free play, two will receive $250 cash or free play, two will receive $500 cash or free play and one will receive a two-year Honda automobile lease (or $8,000). Also on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 3-6 p.m., the casino will randomly award a two-year Honda automobile lease (or $8,000) to a Discovery Club member who is actively playing a machine with his card inserted. Players can obtain 10 entries per day by visiting the Discovery Club booth, and additional entries can be earned playing the slots or at the tables. Winners must be present at the drawings.

Bingo players can ring in the New Year in a big way at Suncoast's $30,000 Guaranteed Big Game" starting at 8 p.m. Wednesday and running past midnight. Buy-in is $60 for 20 games with extra 6-on packs at $15 each (up to 10 additional). All players receive a free dauber, champagne toast, party favors and hors d'oeuvres. Reservations are essential and can be made by calling 636-7111 (ext. 5705). On Thursday, the bingo room is giving away 2009 datebooks to all players at all sessions.

On both New Year's Eve (7 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. sessions) and New Year's Day (all sessions 7 a.m.-11 a.m.), Arizona Charlie's Boulder bingo players can win a $2,009 bonus if they hit bingo on the bonus ball.

South Point is giving away a 2009 pocket calendar at all bingo sessions on Thursday.

Through Sunday, Hooters Hotel is giving away 10 wings to all Owl Reward Club members. There is a limit of one offer per account (including new sign-ups), and vouchers can be picked up at the booth from 8 a.m.-midnight.

Rampart players earning 500 points ($1,000 coin-in on slots, $2,000 coin-in on video poker) on Sunday will receive a digital camera. (Limit one per player.)

The El Cortez "Winning Wallets" promotion kicks off Thursday. All through January, Club Cortez members hitting a jackpot of $200-plus on any slot machine, five-cent or lower denomination video poker machine or live keno, or $300-plus on all other denomination video poker machines receive a prize ticket redeemable for a wallet containing $10-$1,000 in free play. There is no limit to the number of wallets you can win during this promotion.
