Zombie Bowl for Kids’ Sake is planned for noon June 13 at Red Rock Lanes inside Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd., to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada. Advance registration is required. Zombie attire is recommended but optional, and professional zombie makeup and costume artists will be on site. Summer youth basketball leagues are planned for ages 5 to 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays June 13-Aug. 1 at the Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center, 101 N. Pavilion Center Drive. Youths play in two divisions: ages 5 to 6 and 7 to 8, with at least one practice game and one competition game each week for a minimum of six weeks, with the possibility of play-off participation. A 1.5-mile run beginning at the pool is planned to wind through Veterans Memorial Park and conclude with a 300-meter swim. Super Summer Theatre is set to present “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” at 8:05 p.m. June 11-13, 17-20 and 24-27 at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, 6375 state Route 159, about 10 miles west of the 215 Beltway.
