Trick-or-treat activities abound in Las Vegas Valley

10/26/12 -- A special event at the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay was described incorrectly in Thursday’s Best Bet and today’s Neon listings. The attraction will offer candy and free admission to costumed kids 12 and younger today only.

If it's no longer enough just to gorge your little ones on free candy from those strangers down the street, here's a look at some kid-friendly Halloween activities. (For more listings, see Friday's Neon.)

Kids can trick-or-treat 5-6 p.m. Saturday at the Boulevard Mall (735-7430), 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Tivoli Village (, 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Town Square (mytownsquarelas and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the District at Green Valley Ranch (

Costumed kids 12 and younger receive candy and free admission, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday at Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay (632-4555).

Celebrate Nevada Day and Halloween with games, pumpkin decorating, candy, drawings and prizes, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Historic Park (486-3511).

Spooky Town features a haunted train ride, spooky maze, petting zoo and bounce house, 6-9 p.m. today-Wednesday at Bonnie Springs Old Nevada. Admission is $10 (
