Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, will present “Jonathan Gorst: An Evening of Music” at 7:30 p.m. July 13. A goodwill offering will be accepted to benefit Henderson Presbyterian Church food bank, 702-454-8484.

EVENTS

Calvary Community Assembly of God, 2900 N. Torrey Pines Drive, is offering the Summer Food Service Program Monday through Friday through Aug. 23. The lunch service is served from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Lunch is free of charge. No registration is required. Ages 2 to 18 are eligible regardless of race, color, national origin, sex or disability.

United Methodist Social Ministries is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Through Aug. 23, meals will be served from noon to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday at Griffith United Methodist Church, 1701 E. Oakey Blvd. Lunch is free of charge. Ages 2 to 18 are eligible regardless of race, color, national origin, sex or disability.

The Ramakrishna-Vedanta Center, 10732 Balsam Creek Road, will have arati and a talk by Swami Atmavidyananda of the Ramakrishna Order of India, on “The Spiritual Journey,” beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday. A potluck will follow, 702-646-4889.

Holy Trinity AME Church, 700 Lola Ave., will have its annual Men’s and Women’s Day with guest speaker Peter Groff, former director of the Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships at the U.S. Department of Education, at 1 p.m. July 14. The event will begin with a light luncheon, followed by the program at 2 p.m. with music by the church’s Sanctuary Choir and guest choirs and awards presentations. MEETINGS

CLASSES

Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, 8425 W. Windmill Lane, will offer a summer day camp for children entering kindergarten through fifth grade from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 22-Aug. 9.
