UNLV fall catalog lists upcoming classes

UNLV's fall catalog of community interest and business courses is in the mail to former students. The catalog also is available at Las Vegas-Clark County libraries, as well as at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Educational Outreach office, 851 E. Tropicana Ave. It is available online at edoutreach.unlv.edu.

Registration is open for courses in a variety of areas including personal growth, personal finance, business, computers, crafts and fitness. World travel and weekend excursion trips also are listed, as well as local one-day exploring adventures.
Fall excursions include a Sept. 13 evening lecture followed by a Sept. 15-16 weekend geological tour of Southern California with UNLV paleontologist Steve Rowland.
Home cooking enthusiasts can attend a new class titled Regional Italian Pastas and Sauces.
The catalog also includes a class for businesspeople called Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures and a class of interest for those wanting to learn about Civil War re-enactments.
