Here are a few things in news, sports, entertainment and popular culture that we've been talking about lately.

• USA Today calls CityCenter "a Xanadu on the Vegas Strip." If they're referring to the Olivia Newton-John movie, this is not good news.

• The College of Southern Nevada will offer six midnight classes next semester. Those noon to 8 p.m. all-nighters will take some getting used to.

• Donny Osmond, 51, becomes the oldest celebrity to win "Dancing with the Stars." Congratulations, Donny, although we can agree that we didn't really need to hear that particular statistical tidbit.

• Media reports claim that at least two women with ties to Las Vegas allegedly have been romantically involved with golfer Tiger Woods. Because anytime something weird happens anywhere, it always circles back to Las Vegas.
