Gold comforts Miller in the ambulance on the way to the home of Miller's sister. For the 25th year, American Medical Response is offering free ambulance rides to nursing home patients who wish to spend the holidays with family members. Since the inception of the ambulance company's Home for the Holidays program, it has helped more than 1,500 patients join holiday celebrations. AMR is offering free rides on Christmas Day between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
