One of the three finalists for superintendent of Clark County School District has apparently dropped out to take a job at Edison State College in Florida.

James Browder, the superintendent of the Lee County School District in Florida, was scheduled to come to Las Vegas to meet with the public on Wednesday and interview with the Clark County School Board on Thursday.

Browder signed an agreement Monday to go work for Edison State College as a vice president of operations, according to a press release the school.

The remaining two superintendents are Michael Hinojosa, the superintendent of the Dallas Indepenent School District, and Dwight D. Jones, the Colorado Education Commissioner.
