Motorcyclist killed in crash ID’d


The motorcyclist killed Tuesday morning near Decatur Boulevard and Flamingo Road has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

David Carlos Amaral, 27, of Las Vegas died when he lost control of his 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle while speeding westbound through the parking lot at 4001 South Decatur Blvd., investigators said.

Amaral collided with a concrete planter box in front of a vacant business after falling to the right and sliding through the parking lot at about 7:30 a.m., police said.

The cause of death was not released.
